Baseball Recap: Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter and Beech Grove had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Raiders fell 8-5 to the Hornets on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Tuesday.

Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Beech Grove, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Coming up, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter will head out on the road to square off against University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trailblazers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for Beech Grove, they will take on Irvington Preparatory Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
