Recap: Washington Eagles vs. Milby Buffs
The Washington Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Milby on the road to the tune of 76-26. Considering Washington has won eight matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Chloe Cleare was a one-man wrecking crew for Washington as she scored 29 points. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Danaya Pope, who scored 15 points.
Washington is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Milby, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
Washington will finish 2023 at home by hosting Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Milby's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Chavez is ranked 1540th, while Milby is ranked 1520th).
