Brooks is a perfect 4-0 against East Lawrence since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Brooks' favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while East Lawrence has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Brooks' defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past West Limestone, posting a 38-0 win. Considering the Lions have won four games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for East Lawrence's offense. They took a blow against Deshler on Thursday, falling 56-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 295th, while the Tigers are ranked 57th).

Brooks' victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for East Lawrence, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Brooks strolled past East Lawrence in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a score of 35-19. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
