Leavenworth is a perfect 6-0 against Washington since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The PIONEERS are taking a road trip to face off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Leavenworth and five for Washington.

Leavenworth lost 19-3 to Seaman on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Washington fell victim to Shawnee Mission South and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Raiders, falling 15-0. Considering the last time the Wildcats couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Leavenworth, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Leavenworth was able to grind out a solid victory over Washington in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 17-13. The rematch might be a little tougher for the PIONEERS since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
