Basketball Recap: Bernstein Extends Winning Streak to Four

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Bernstein ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They managed a 65-60 victory over the Corcoran Panthers. The win was familiar territory for the Dragons who have now won four contests in a row.

Despite the loss, Corcoran still got an impressive performance from Javon Bragg, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 21 rebounds. Bragg's afternoon made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Fernandez, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Bernstein has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.5 points. As for Corcoran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

Bernstein has already played their next match, a 77-23 victory against Mendez on the 22nd. As for Corcoran, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-44 win against Strathmore on the 22nd.
