Volleyball Game Preview: Granada Matadors vs. Monte Vista Mustangs

Granada is 0-10 against Monte Vista since October of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Matadors will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Granada and Dougherty Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Matadors came up short against the Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Monte Vista entered their tilt with Livermore on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cowboys.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Granada's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Monte Vista, their win bumped their record up to 16-6.

Granada might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Monte Vista in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Matadors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
