Caravel Academy's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Middletown Cavaliers an 8-0 shutout. With that win, the Buccaneers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Orvy Potts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Potts was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Gavin Evans, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Quinn Hamrick was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Caravel Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Middletown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

The Buccaneers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Middletown, they will square off against Newark at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
