Football Recap: Manti Templars vs. Morgan Trojans
Manti and Morgan squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Manti had to settle for second. The match between them and the Morgan Trojans wasn't particularly close, with the Manti Templars falling 42-28. The Templars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Manti lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tala Taulapapa, who picked up 78 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Taulapapa was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 57 yards. Carter Mason also helped out by tossing the rock for 289 yards.

Manti's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Morgan, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Manti does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Morgan, they will challenge Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Richfield will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Morgan surely won't give up without a fight.
