Baseball Recap: Dassel-Cokato Takes a Loss

Dassel-Cokato and Providence Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Dassel-Cokato had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 16-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Dassel-Cokato saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaeden McKinley, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That double was McKinley's first of the season.

Dassel-Cokato has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season. As for Providence Academy, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

As of now, neither Dassel-Cokato nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
