Volleyball Recap: Perry County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Perry County had lost eight straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 2-17 to make it nine. They came up short against the Loretto Mustangs, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

As for Loretto, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-24 record this season. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Loretto was led to victory by Taylor Laws and Tate Newton. Laws had 11 aces, while Newton had ten assists and seven aces. Those seven aces gave Newton a new career-high. Breleigh Winters was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

Perry County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loretto, they will square off against Lewis County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
