Volleyball Recap: Ignacio's Winning Streak Snapped at Seven Games

After a string of seven wins, Ignacio's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Poudre Impalas by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ignacio started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 19-17.

Lainee Bradley paced Ignacio's offense, picking up seven kills. Bradley got some help from Kelly Sirios and her 15 assists. Sirios was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Ignacio's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Poudre, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Ignacio will welcome Mancos at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Poudre, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Denver North on the 4th.
