Baseball Recap: Jupiter Has No Trouble Against Boca Raton

Jupiter lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Boca Raton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. Everything went the Jupiter Warriors' way against the Boca Raton Bobcats on Thursday as the Jupiter Warriors made off with a 9-1 victory. Considering the Warriors have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Michael Czarnecki looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Jupiter got a big performance out of Gabe Graulau, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Graulau a new career-high in doubles (two). Edie Otero was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Jupiter's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Boca Raton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Jupiter has already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against American Heritage on the 28th. As for Boca Raton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 defeat against St. John Paul II Academy on the 28th.
