Football Game Preview: Coral Reef Barracudas vs. Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans

The Coral Reef Barracudas will take on the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hialeah-Miami Lakes took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Coral Reef, who comes in off a win.

Coral Reef's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. They blew past Varela 30-0. The win continues a trend for the Barracudas in their matchups with the Vipers: they've now won nine in a row.

Coral Reef can attribute much of their success to Izaiah Roque, who rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown. Roque really tore up the turf during one magnificent 90-yard run. Amari Germain was in the mix too, providing Coral Reef with two TDs.

Coral Reef didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Adrian Lopez and Lawrence Bryant. Dylan Perez was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making six total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Hialeah-Miami Lakes fell victim to Hialeah and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Thoroughbreds. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Thoroughbreds: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Coral Reef, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
