Basketball Recap: Central Cass Takes a Loss

Central Cass's last matchup with Thompson could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday. The Central Cass Squirrels lost 58-36 to the Thompson Tommies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tommies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-56 back in January.

Thompson was led to victory by Karter Peterson and Gavin Krogstad. Peterson dropped a double-double with 17 points and 14 boards, while Krogstad almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Peterson a new career-high in boards. Braden Tyce was another key player, putting up seven points.

Central Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Thompson, their record now sits at 16-8.

As of now, neither Central Cass nor Thompson have any future games scheduled.
