Softball Game Preview: Ingleside Mustangs vs. Robinson Rockets

For the second straight game, Ingleside will face off against Robinson. The Mustangs will take on the Rockets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ingleside's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Robinson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Ingleside heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of Robinson by a score of 6-4. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

For Robinson's part, Raelynn Van Zee spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits.

At the plate, Kaygen Marshall was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Haven Hansen was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Robinson's victory was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 36-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Ingleside, their loss dropped their record down to 30-11.
