Basketball Recap: Memphis East Comes Up Short

Memphis East lost against Whitehaven last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Memphis East Mustangs fell 52-44 to the Whitehaven Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Tigers are ranked third).

Memphis East's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Whitehaven, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 23 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Memphis East nor Whitehaven have any future games scheduled.
