Basketball Recap: Cleveland Takes a Loss

Cleveland lost against Bishop Blanchet back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cleveland Eagles were outmatched by the Bishop Blanchet Bears and fell 62-25. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Bears are ranked 52nd).

Cleveland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Bishop Blanchet, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Cleveland will venture away from home to square off against Seattle Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Seattle Academy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Cleveland surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bishop Blanchet, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Nathan Hale at 7:30 p.m. Bishop Blanchet is facing Nathan Hale at the right time seeing as Nathan Hale is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
