Baseball Recap: Edwardsville Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Edwardsville fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against O'Fallon on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Edwardsville's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-9. As for O'Fallon, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Edwardsville will take on East St. Louis at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. O'Fallon will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' game: after the Tigers face off against the Flyers, they'll take on O'Fallon again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
