Soccer Game Preview: New Kent vs. Poquoson

New Kent is 0-6-1 against Poquoson since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Islanders at 7:00 p.m. New Kent has given up an average of 4.1 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Kent is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game on Thursday. They lost 9-1 to Warhill. While losing is never fun, New Kent can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Warhill are ranked 29th).

New Kent's goal came courtesy of Alvaro Laguillo-Cubiles, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Poquoson and Bruton finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

New Kent's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-2. Poquoson's draw makes their record 4-7-2 this season.
