Basketball Game Preview: Washington Jaguars vs. Snow Hill Eagles

Washington is 2-8 against Snow Hill since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Washington Jaguars will host the Snow Hill Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Washington is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game last Monday. The game between them and Woodbridge didn't end well, with Washington falling 70-51. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 233rd in Maryland, while the Raiders are ranked 24th in Delaware).

Meanwhile, Snow Hill entered their tilt with Arcadia on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 62-52 victory over the Firebirds.

Snow Hill's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Washington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Washington was taken down by Snow Hill 74-40 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Washington was down 45-24.
