Baseball Recap: Martin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Martin's offense. They fell just short of the Bowie Volunteers by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Martin and nudges their season record down to 7-11-1. As for Bowie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin will face off against Haltom at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Martin 3.8, Haltom 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Bowie, they will challenge South Hills at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bowie surely won't give up without a fight.
