Volleyball Game Preview: Lindhurst Blazers vs. San Juan Spartans

The Lindhurst Blazers will venture away from home to take on the San Juan Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Lindhurst came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Vacaville Christian.

While Lindhurst was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Vacaville Christian's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-14, 25-16.

Meanwhile, San Juan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Golden Sierra.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, San Juan sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 20-25, 15-8.

San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lindhurst, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Lindhurst came up short against San Juan when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Lindhurst avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
