Softball Recap: Twin Falls Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Twin Falls waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Burley Bobcats as they made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Bruins have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Audrey Gourley made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Libby Torgrimson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Hodge, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Twin Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .536. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Twin Falls pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Burley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
