Volleyball Recap: Mission College Prep Comes Up Short

Mission College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cabrillo Conquistadores. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Royals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Cabrillo scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 25-22.

Mission College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Cabrillo, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.

Coming up, Mission College Prep will venture away from home to take on Nipomo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cabrillo, they will square off against Lompoc at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cabrillo is facing Lompoc at the right time seeing as Lompoc is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
