Softball Recap: North Vermilion Takes a Loss

North Vermilion was the 10-4 winner over David Thibodaux when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The North Vermilion Patriots fell just short of the David Thibodaux Bulldogs by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

North Vermilion's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for David Thibodaux, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

When North Vermilion and David Thibodaux next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. North Vermilion will challenge Winnfield and their three-game winning streak at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. North Vermilion's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so David Thibodaux's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, David Thibodaux will try to stop Hicks' four-game winning streak when they meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
