Softball Recap: Orrick Takes a Loss

Orrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Paul Lutheran Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 on April 8th.

Orrick's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for St. Paul Lutheran, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12.

Coincidentally, Orrick and St. Paul Lutheran will both be playing Santa Fe the next time they take the field. The Bearcats will host the Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
