Soccer Game Preview: Argyle vs. Grapevine

The Argyle Eagles will square off against the Grapevine Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Argyle is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Colleyville Heritage just ended the team's seven-match winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Argyle's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Grapevine beat Ryan 3-1 on Tuesday. Given Grapevine's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 76th, while Ryan are ranked 325th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 8-2-1. As for Grapevine, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-2.
