Perry won the last time they faced Mount Morris and things went their way on Thursday too. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Blue Devils. The result was nothing new for the Yellowjackets, who have now won six games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Izaiah Hernandez was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Perry: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 5-6 otherwise. Jayden Pritchard also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Perry and bumps their season record up to 9-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Mount Morris, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perry will square off against Caledonia-Mumford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Morris, they will take on Webber at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
