Basketball Recap: South Shelby Takes a Loss

South Shelby lost against Westran back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The South Shelby Cardinals took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westran Hornets. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Shelby's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Westran, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the South Shelby Cardinals duke it out with the Canton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Canton's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Westran, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westran is facing Fayette at the right time seeing as Fayette is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
