Basketball Game Preview: Fort Cherry Rangers vs. West Greene Pioneers

The Fort Cherry Rangers will challenge the West Greene Pioneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Fort Cherry didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Jefferson-Morgan, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Greene). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Burgettstown 68-38. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.

West Greene's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Fort Cherry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
