Basketball Recap: Barbour County Comes Up Short

Barbour County lost against Booker T. Washington back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Barbour County Jaguars had to suffer through a 79-29 loss at the hands of the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 59th).

Marquez Daniel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Booker T. Washington, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 14 boards. The contest was Daniel's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charis Burton, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points.

Barbour County moved to 4-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Booker T. Washington, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Barbour County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-35 defeat against Charles Henderson on the 17th. Booker T. Washington has also already played their next game, a 53-23 win against JAG on the 17th.
