Softball Recap: Dubois Falls Short of Central Mountain in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact DuBois can now relate to. They fell just short of the Central Mountain Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 back in March.

Abigail Kalgren spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

On the hitting side, DuBois saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Baronick, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

DuBois moved to 12-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Central Mountain, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1.

As of now, neither DuBois nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
