Horizon hasn't had much luck against Pinnacle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Horizon Huskies will square off against the Pinnacle Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.
Last Thursday, Horizon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 58-53 to Notre Dame Prep.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Peyton Schiltz, who went 9-for-19 on her way to 19 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Olson, who posted ten points and eight boards.
Even though they lost, Horizon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Pinnacle entered their tilt with Liberty on Thursday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They took their game with ease, bagging a 71-42 victory over the Lions. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Lions are ranked 65th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Horizon better keep an eye on Norah Moo. She was instrumental in Pinnacle's win, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Moo has posted since back in February of 2024. Rylee Fraley was another key player, going 5-for-9 to rack up 14 points and seven assists.
Pinnacle pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points over those games. As for Horizon, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
Horizon took a serious blow against Pinnacle when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 62-27. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Moo, who went 11-for-13 en route to 24 points and eight boards. Now that Horizon knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
