Volleyball Recap: Northwest Guilford Vikings vs. East Mecklenburg Eagles
The Northwest Guilford Vikings came up short against the East Mecklenburg Eagles on Tuesday and fell 3-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Karrington Cook paced Northwest Guilford's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cook got some help from Emary Moore and her 22 assists. Cook also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ali Burgess, each putting up two.
Riley Ketterhagen had an outrageously good game for East Mecklenburg as she had 18 digs and two aces.
Northwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for East Mecklenburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
