Carlisle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Revolution Academy Rhinos as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Carlisle's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 63rd in Virginia, while Revolution Academy are ranked 484th in North Carolina).

Carlisle's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Revolution Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle will host Westover Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Revolution Academy, they will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Oak Ridge Military Academy at 6:00 p.m.
