Triumph Charter made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Community Charter, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Jaguars blew past the Titans 18-5 on Thursday. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by ten runs or more this season.
Gabriel Gonzales made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off only two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one double. He has become a key player for Triumph Charter: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Triumph Charter got a massive performance out of Elijah Garcia, who scored four runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-2. Those four runs gave Garcia a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Richard Reyes, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two doubles.
Triumph Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Triumph Charter will challenge University Prep Value at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
