Basketball Recap: Annawan Takes a Loss

Annawan lost against Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Annawan Braves/Bravettes fell just short of the Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] Spartans by a score of 41-39.

Despite the loss, Annawan still got an impressive performance from Bella VanOpdorp, who posted 20 points. VanOpdorp's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

Annawan's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-12.

Annawan has already played their next contest, a 52-44 win against Stark County on the 10th. As for Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge], they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-39 victory against Princeville on the 10th.
