Basketball Game Preview: Copan Hornets vs. Bluejacket Chieftains

Copan has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bluejacket recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Copan Hornets will be playing at home against the Bluejacket Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. Bluejacket took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Copan, who comes in off a win.

Copan is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 5, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Foyil 68-40. The win continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Bluejacket was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-32 loss at the hands of Wesleyan Christian. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Mustangs are ranked 204th).

Copan's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Bluejacket, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Copan took their win against Bluejacket in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 65-45. Will Copan repeat their success, or does Bluejacket have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
