Softball Recap: FAMU DRS Takes a Loss

FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 26-10 to the Wakulla Christian School Saints. The Baby Rattlers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Saints from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Haylin Forbes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those runs marked the first that she scored this season. Kimberly Cueras was another key player, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

FAMU DRS' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Wakulla Christian School, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

FAMU DRS wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 22-2 defeat against Florida State University High School on the 9th. As for Wakulla Christian School, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-1 victory against Jefferson County on the 8th.
