Volleyball Recap: Genoa Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Genoa Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Madison Christian Eagles. If Genoa Christian Academy was looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to Madison Christian when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Genoa Christian Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-7.

Siena Swartz paced Genoa Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Swartz got some help from Faith Griffey and her 14 assists. Claire Mitchell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Genoa Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Madison Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Genoa Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Granville Christian Academy on the 18th. As for Madison Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Liberty Christian Academy on the 18th.
