Softball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

If Marshall was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of Western on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Redhawks wound up with the same score they had in their last game (16-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The game marked their lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gwen Beach, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Paw Paw, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Marshall will head out on the road to face off against Lakeview at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Paw Paw, they will face off against Vicksburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
