Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton Southeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maverick Young, who went 6-for-9 to rack up 18 points. What's more, Young also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2023. Braeden Totton was another key player, going 6-for-9 on his way to 16 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brownsburg, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against North Central by a score of 63-52 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Hamilton Southeastern better keep an eye on Jesiah Sloss. He was instrumental in Brownsburg's win, going 7-for-12 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Sloss has become a key player for Brownsburg: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 15 points, but 4-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Brandon, who posted nine points and five boards.
Brownsburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Hamilton Southeastern's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Brownsburg, their record is now 9-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hamilton Southeastern has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 24.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Brownsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging 22 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
