Volleyball Recap: Cannon Cougars vs. Providence Day Chargers

Cannon was the 3-1 winner over Providence Day when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Chargers on Tuesday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cannon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-15, 25-15, 25-16.

Reagan Pinkerton paced Cannon's offense, picking up seven kills. Pinkerton also shared the team's lead in assists with Kendall Laguerre: they picked up nine each. Pinkerton also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Victoria Marion, racking up two apiece.

Providence Day can attribute much of their success to Kelsie Peters, who had 19 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Peters has posted since back in September of 2024.
