Football Recap: Westlake Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

Westlake Academy and Texas Wind squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Westlake Academy had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 76-27 loss at the hands of Texas Wind. The matchup marked the Blacksmiths' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Nicolas Sansone threw for 200 yards on only 16 passes. Angel Manon was his top target, picking up 133 receiving yards. On the ground, Preston Colby rushed for 65 yards and one score on only five carries.

Rhys Bonow was his usual excellent self, throwing for 231 yards and four touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes for Texas Wind. Bonow is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last eight games he's played. Zane Walker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
