Baseball Game Preview: Loudon Redskins vs. Lenoir City Panthers

For the second straight game, Loudon will face off against Lenoir City. The Redskins will be playing at home against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Loudon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Lenoir City will come in with three straight wins.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Loudon and Lenoir City, and Lenoir City kept the tradition alive. The Redskins came up short against the Panthers on Tuesday, falling 9-3.

For Lenoir City's part, Hunter Click was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Click a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Turpin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Lenoir City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Loudon only posted an OBP of .323.

Lenoir City's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-12. As for Loudon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
