Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Academy Starts Season with Win Against Heritage Christian

Covenant Christian Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down Heritage Christian 44-26.

Covenant Christian Academy can attribute much of their success to Brandon Alibaruho, who posted 27 points. Those 27 points gave Alibaruho a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Delach, who scored six points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian Academy will face off against Northern Virginia HomeSchool at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gill Grove Baptist at 5:15 p.m. on February 6, 2026.
