Vernon Hills came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Maine West Warriors by a score of 55-44. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 66-53 back in January.

Vernon Hills' victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Maine West, their loss dropped their record down to 13-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vernon Hills will head out to challenge Niles North at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Maine West, they are taking a road trip to take on Elgin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
