Evan Hargett and Ryan Turk secure win for Westlake

Recap: Westlake Demons vs. Lakewood Rangers
The Westlake Demons's five-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They secured a 61-56 W over Lakewood. The victory was all the more spectacular given Westlake's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while Lakewood is ranked 173rd).
Leading Westlake to victory were Evan Hargett and Ryan Turk. Hargett dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Turk scored 14 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Turk pulled down eight or more rebounds. Anthony Fernandez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Westlake's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Lakewood, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5.
Westlake will be playing in front of their home fans against Rocky River at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rocky River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Lakewood, they will head out on the road to face off against Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
