Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Temple Christian Academy walked away with it. They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 68-41 victory over the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind Dragons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Temple Christian Academy also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.

Leading Temple Christian Academy to victory were Jayden Marshall and Daiyon Williams. Marshall posted 20 points and six rebounds, while Williams put up six points in addition to 13 boards and three steals. Williams has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more boards the last 18 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Blayse Seitz, who had seven points.

Temple Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Florida School for the Deaf & Blind, they dropped their record down to 6-17 with the loss, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Temple Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Christ's Church Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christ's Church Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Temple Christian Academy likes a good challenge. Florida School for the Deaf & Blind does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
