Softball Recap: Boquet Valley Takes a Loss

Boquet Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lake Placid Bombers. The Griffins were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bombers earlier this season, when they won 10-5.

Boquet Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lake Placid, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Boquet Valley will head out on the road to face off against Crown Point at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Griffins will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last four games. As for Lake Placid, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Chazy at 4:30 p.m. The Bombers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season.
